Live Green
in Plano starter packets are being delivered to
Plano residents through several avenues of
distribution depending on neighborhood. Residents
should look for the informational packet to arrive
on their trash cart on collection day, their door or
their mailbox.
The starter packet includes a welcome letter from
Mayor Pat Evans, a brochure providing handy tips on
living green, an energy card with resources on
choosing your energy service provider, water
conservation retrofit information, irrigation tips,
a flier about the Live Green in Plano Expo, a
calendar of events for the “Year of Living Green,”
and a magnet.
The Sustainability and Environmental Services
Department is coordinating distribution of the
starter packet with assistance from City of Plano
collection drivers and volunteers from Cadbury
Schweppes America’s Beverages.
“We’re excited to offer practical and easy to
understand information to our residents about living
green in Plano,” said Nancy Nevil, Director,
Sustainability and Environmental Services. “With a
few simple changes in our daily routine, we can save
money and lessen our impact on the environment.”
