“Trying to talk to kids about drugs can be a
daunting proposition for many parents,” says
Marc Fey, Director of Community Impact Outreach
for Focus on the Family. “Many parents desire to
help their kids make positive life choices, but
they just do not know where to start. HOW TO
DRUG PROOF YOUR KIDS is the tool that parents
have been waiting for. It will give them the
training and confidence they need.”
Those completing the program will be certified
to conduct their own HOW TO DRUG PROOF YOUR KIDS
parent training event if they so choose. This
program has proven to be one of the most
successful programs in the United States and
abroad. Parents of very young children are
especially encouraged to attend this program as
prevention is most successful when implemented
in the early childhood years.
Many parents believe that when confronted with
drugs or alcohol their kids will be the one who
“Just Says No.” According to the U.S. Department
of Justice, 70 percent of high school seniors
have used alcohol and nearly 35 percent have
used marijuana in the last year. The drug
“cheese” has now become the latest addiction.
