Plano firefighters plucked a woman from the roof of a burning house this morning.
The woman, whom authorities would not identify, escaped the home in the 3400 block of Brushy Creek Drive by climbing out a second-story window, said Peggy Harrell, spokeswoman for the Plano Fire Department.
The woman was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
A second person who was home at the time escaped injury, Harrell said. The home suffered considerable damage in the blaze, which was reported around 9 a.m. Firefighters had it under control in about 20 minutes.
Authorities continue to investigate the fire’s cause.
