The Plano ISD Education Foundation launched the “$60 Million Reasons to Give”campaign that ended on June 30, 2011, to raise $60,000 from individuals in support of our district. This meaningful pursuit to raise $60,000 sent a strong message of camaraderie to our students, teachers and school officials that we are in this together.
The funds provided to the district by the Foundation remain in Plano ISD and are NOT subject to recapture. The Foundation funds priority programs identified by the District. View a complete list of programs.
DOLLARS AT WORK UPDATE: Thanks to your support, the Education Foundation in partnership with the YMCA is helping to continue 5th Grade Camp in light of recent budget cuts. The Education Foundation is donating $50,000 toward this program for the 2011-2012 school year.
Thanks to your support, the Education Foundation voted to expand the Grants to Educators program this year and offer up to $100,000 in grants to teachers for innovative classroom programs. The Grants to Educators program offers teachers funding to enrich their classroom experiences.Read more. The application is now available.

About the Foundation
The Plano ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is helping all students in Plano public schools achieve their full potential by providing financial support to educators and academic programs. The Foundation generates private support for priority projects identified by the Plano Independent School District for which tax dollars are not available. All contributions stay in Plano ISD and are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
The Board of Directors consists of business and community leaders who recognize the importance of excellent public schools to the Plano community. Support generated by the Plano ISD Education Foundation ensures Plano ISD remains one of the best public school districts in the nation.
